Leeds Met Students' Union works with a number of partners to enhance the lives of students. This may be in a number of different ways; it may be that the brand reflect our values, offer students great deals or work with us to improve the lives of students. In any case we are proud to be affiliated with them and have them support the work the Students' Union does.
Amber Taxis
Amber taxis have been working alongside the Students' Union for several years now offering students one of the lowest taxi fares in the city. Although a cheap fare is very attractive, its the work Amber does to improve student safety that has really seen our partnership flourish. If a student were to find themself stranded in Leeds without any money, during the hours of darkness, Amber taxis will come and take the student home. By informing the switchboard of the situation the driver will be prepared to take a students student ID and return it to the Students' Union within 3 working days. Once a student has given the SU their fare they are given their student card back. Such a brilliant scheme reduces the risks associated with walking home alone at night. Amber have also installed free phones in the Students' Union bars so a safe ride home is easily accessible.
Endsleigh Insurance
Endsleigh insurance work closely with Students' Unions across the country to make sure students have the correct amount of cover for their belongings during their time at university. They specialise in the student market and make the process of buying cover easy. They offer bundles from just £9.50 a month which cater specifically for students needs.
Dominos Pizza
Everyone loves a Dominos pizza, right? Dominos became one of our partners this academic year and not only offer our students the best deals on pizzas in Leeds but also come on to campus to give away freebies and generally create a buzz! With branches in the city center and Headingley, they cater for students on their doorstop.
