The financial help a new full-time student can get depends on the course, where they live while they are studying, and their individual circumstances. Most undergraduate students are funded by loans, grants and bursaries available through Student Finance England.

If you are unsure of what funding you might be eligible for the Leeds Met Student's Union Advice Service can advise you on what student funding you may be entitled to. You may be entitled to additional funding if, for example, you need to pay for childcare, have a disability, or have dependents that rely on you financially.
If you are having problems getting funded through Student Finance England, we can communicate with them on your behalf.
Some students are not eligible for funding from Student Finance England. This includes international students, asylum seeking students, and students who have previously studied at degree level. If you are in any doubt about your eligibility, you can discuss this with us.

You can contact the University's Student Money Advice Team for free and confidential advice about debt and any difficulties or problems you are experiencing with your finances.

Leeds Met Financial Support
The Financial Support Team are responsible for administering funds that provide additional financial support for students. The team deals with applications for financial assistance from the Access to Learning Fund (ALF) and other schemes such as the Additional Fee Support Scheme (AFSS), Short Term Loans, and the UPP Student Hardship Scheme.
The team are available to answer questions relating to these funds, as well as general questions about statutory funding such as student loans and tuition fees.
